This play is about Lancashire folk in the years after the
end of the war in the late forties and early fifties; it
gives the audience who lived through it a reminder of how
life was. The joining of two families, first the wedding
and then a funeral, were injected with gentle humour which
was laughed at then and is still funny today.
The production gave one a feel-good factor. With a cast of
sixteen, there were lovely pictures and two excellent sets,
and not one performance standing out, but together they
caught a moment in time. All gelled so well as to give a
full house a perfect evening’s entertainment

producer.
